On the original HK USP Match, the attachment on the front of the handgun was a weight. This extra weight so far in front of the center of gravity of the handgun was used to cut down on muzzle flip. But with the advantages came a down side. The extra weight made it harder to transition between targets if you had to swing the handgun to either side. The Brown Bear Gear P30 Match Weight keeps the looks but cuts down the weight. Barrel porting is used to combat muzzle flip.
After heading to the range I found a down side when I noticed that I burned the end of my fiber optic front sight.
